This is free software, on our website here: http://www.barix.com/downloads/Software_tools/221/
Documentation is also on the site.
* 3 you can also use an Exstreamer (!) to generate a radio channel from a file/playlist on a USB stick. With a 4GB USB Stick,
such a file can be quite long (several days, depending on audio format), and this can be used ideally for a solid state, low power,
constant stream generator for background music. The software for the Exstreamer is not yet released but we can provide a copy
to check it out.

b) Annuncicom has contact closure inputs, and can be set to start streaming on contact closure with a higher priority than the other
sources (even higher than paging), so all Exstreamer devices will immediately switch to the Annuncicom feed.

c) Channel selection: channel selection can also be done by multiple means
*1 using a browser (or iPhone etc), directly controlling the Exstreamer
*2 using a command interface on the Exstreamer from an automation system (such as Crestron)
*3 using a remote control with the Exstreamer
*4 using the VSC (Volume Source Control), connected to the Exstreamer
*5 using central software (for example, ICGraph)

ICGraph is a general system monitoring, paging and intercom software. It can be used to control a system as above, switch the channel
an Exstraemer listens to, make announcements from the PC, work as an intercom console etc. It is *not* generating background music channels,
that is done by the MP3_RTP_Streamer software.

Barix devices are ideal for general audio distribution applications.

You can find further information in the below pages:

  • point to point streaming - this page informs about how to use the products for simple point to point applications (also over the internet)
  • source to multipoint distribution - a typical application if a source needs to be distributed to multiple buildings, rooms, country sites
  • multi source, multi destination - audio distribution for hotels, ski areas, venues, theaters etc. some sources and many receives, priorities, source selection at the playout places etc.
