Exstreamer P5 and Infrared
Concept
The Exstreamer P5 comes with a Control Port. To be able to use the Barix IR Remote Control Kit you need to make some HW changes.
Hardware
Following hardware is required to make this work:
- Exstreamer P5
- IR Remote Control Kit
- RJ45 Cable
Hardware Changes
- Open the IR Remote Control Kit
- Take the RJ45 Cable and cut it in the required length
- Prepare the RJ45 Pin's 6,7 and 8
- Solder the the RJ45 to following ports on the IR board
- J1-4 --> RJ45 8
- J1-5 --> RJ45 7
- J1-8 --> RJ45 6
